Almut Eisentraeger, 2014I am research fellow at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWM, working in the department Transport Processes on the Finite Pointset Method.

Earlier, I worked at the Mathematical Institute in the University of Oxford, first as DPhil (PhD) student at the Numerical Analysis Group on a multi-fluid poroelastic model of the brain, then as a postdoctoral research assistant at the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics (OCCAM) on water purification by magnetic separation.

In my free time, I enjoy reading (blogs as well as novels) or listening to audio books. I like fiddling with LaTeX and shell scripts. I also try to exercise regularly. My favourite animals are bunnies and kitties and I am a fan of Doctor Who. Updates happen mostly on Twitter.
